Bar One Fourteen

Meridian Kessler

Project Overview

Bar One Fourteen is a luxe microbar, dining and listening room in Meridian Kessler neighborhood. The concept is part of the Indianapolis restaurant group Patachou, Inc. Formerly a gelato shop, the space is only 355 square feet, posing an interesting challenge to build a bar, cooking area and dining space within.

Project Highlights

Finish Work

The fine finishes in the space are evident in the photos above, with Carrera marble countertop and backsplash, custom Boaz Millworks banquette seating, Benjamin Moore matte paint, plush velvet and faux mohair curtains and upholstery, and brass hardware and lighting.

Unique Components

The concept includes a high-fidelity listening experience played from a vinyl turntable. The turntable is recessed into the walnut countertop behind the bar, and a custom cabinet was created and hung on the wall to house and display the album covers.

Carpentry

The Boaz Millworks team made custom table tops for the guest dining area out of Indiana walnut, and used the same wood for one of the cooking area countertops. Wainscoting was built and installed on the wall that runs the length of the space.
